Brendan Finnegan is a licensed social worker, seasoned percussionist, and founder of Impact Group Drumming — a leading provider of recreational and wellness-based drumming programs in the greater New York City area.
With over 20 years of experience as a performer and educator, Brendan holds a Bachelor’s in Professional Music from Berklee College of Music and a Master’s of Social Work from Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College. He has performed internationally, studied percussion in Brazil and West Africa, and worked extensively with populations ranging from seniors and adults with developmental disabilities to corporate teams and children.
Brendan’s unique background bridges the worlds of rhythm and healing. As a practicing psychotherapist with Wolfson Therapy, a clinical director at Experience Camps for Grieving Children, he brings a trauma-informed, therapeutic lens to every drumming experience. Whether building team cohesion in the workplace or creating moments of joy and release for grieving children, Brendan’s work is rooted in connection, empowerment, and emotional well-being.
